It always feels good to get those out of the way and all of the luggage in the room, then the relaxation can begin ! |

We are in Eidfjord, Norway today. Light rain and about 50 degrees f. Cute town and beautiful fjord. Lucky, we have had calm seas. No Vikings yet. Tomorrow is Alesund.

Today we docked in Alesund. A much larger town surrounded by islands and water. Weather remains cloudy with some rain. Fun place. |

I looked it up on Google Image. It certainly is beautiful! The village reminds me of Whittier Alaska, with it's big building. |

Today we are in Bergen, Norway. We passed under a suspension bridge on the way in. It is raining today. I look forward to seeing the harbor and fortress. Still no real Vikings. |

I am drinking Carlsberg beer this afternoon and it It is always a good choice. Today it rained a lot in Bergen so we did not take the Finicular to the top of town. Instead, we visited the Hanseatic Museum and the the Bergen Military Museum. Had a fun time. Now, we sail.back to Rotterdam foe a turnaround and return to Norway for another fun week. |

Yes indeed, the Flam to Myrdal railway is absolutely World Cllass! Take a few.mimutes and look it up. It is also called the Flambana railway. I have been on the White Pass and Yukon Railway in Skagway and this is fully the equal to that one! |

I did. Yes. Similar in many ways, although the train cars look more comfortable and that wide waterfall is truly impressive! |

I looked up the rock on Google images. Very dramatic.
Also, kind of scary. Because of my inner ear disorder, I've learned to stay upright by looking for vertical and horizontal lines. The rock looks nearly like a vertical rectangle, but not quite. Close enough to confuse me. Then there's the height. Nearly 2000 feet! |
