Alternative answer: His head was soaking wet before he went outside. Can't get wet if you are wet already. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

Fleetp gave me the answer I was looking for. He was bald. I did like Mr. Blues answer as it was funny to me. Salty I think if someone was holding a umbrella then he was being protected by it regardless of ownership of the umbrella and the fact he was not holding it but anyway thanks for trying. Fleetp its your show now. |

I like Mr. Blue's answer.
Here's Gollum's final riddle from 'The Hobbit'.
What thing is he talking about?
This thing all things devours;
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers.
Gnaws iron; bites steel.
Grinds hard stones to meal.
Slays kings, ruins towns,
and beats high mountains down.
Feel free to do a search at any time. |

Time. Iron, steel, stone and virtually any substance will be worn down given enough time. |

You won't be able to answer that one if you give it a Miss. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

Yes Miss is four letters so that won't work. I will give a little hint. What happens as we get older? We what? Three letters only. |
