Official Guess- Marilyn Monroe

Come to think of it, I've never been in that drunk/morning after fight scenario, but it sounds plausible.

He is a famous age of sail explorer/navigator, but he's not Christopher Columbus.

This early TV program ran from 1947 to 1960; it was network TV's first weekday children's show, and NBC's first show broadcast in color. What show was it?

The Howdy Doody Show was set in a fictional town. What was the name of the town?
Wait 24 hours before doing a search.

Since I am leaving Sunday morning, I will not guess on the town.
The host was Buffalo Bob.
I do not remember seeing this show live. Same thing for Hopalong Cassidy, I do not remember him either.

Everything you ever wanted to know about the Howdy Doody Show (including the name of the town) is at this site in Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howdy_Doody

This show was quite the institution. So many characters and support personnel. It was produced in Rockefeller Center, New York City.

I was born in 1953 and just do not recall seeing the show on TV.
With so many cable channels on nowadays, I am watching some other shows from that period and they are all new to me - especially the Western show Bat Masterson. I never saw Ramar of the Jungle or Hopalong Cassidy either.
