Bea Benaderat played the role as Blanche Morton on the George Burns and Gracie Allen radio show. When that show switched over to television, she continued the role.
She played Cousin Pearl in the first season of The Beverly Hillbillies.
For four years she did the voice of Betty Rubble on "The Flintstones"

All correct! Your turn.

Last week, late at night, I stumbled onto an episode of Petticoat Junction in progress, but there wasn't enough context to identify the show. Benaderet was advising a young lady in the scene. For some reason, I initially thought it was an episode of Burns and Allen. That's what inspired me to do the research to figure out who the actress was.

Benaderet was also Lucille Ball's first choice for the role of Ethel, but she had other commitments at the time, so Vivian Vance ended up with the role.

Finally, Benaderet did a lot of the female voices in early Warner Brothers cartoons. In the mid-1950s, she was displaced by June Foray.

What baseball team won the American League East Division championship this year?

Hint: It's one of the following
Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles
Tampa Bay Rays

Definitely not the Orioles! I don't follow baseball closely, but my friends who do have been lamenting the local team's performance this year.

I haven't really paid much attention to baseball this year and I don't follow it like I did a few years ago but I'll guess the Red Sox. They seem to be a solid organization and the Yankees always seem to underachieve considering the dough they spend on players. Not saying they are bad but they should be the best if you spend money like that.

Boston Red Sox is correct.
The New York Yankees still have a pretty good team this year. They currently have the third best won-lost record in the Major Leagues.

Pirate, it is your turn to ask the next question.

I know it was a boxing match, and I'm pretty sure it involved Muhammad Ali. I'll guess it was the Ali-Frazier fight.

Good memory Roland. Your turn.

The Thrilla in Manila was the third and final boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. It was contested in 1975 for the heavyweight championship of the world at the Philippine Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines, on Wednesday, October 1. The venue was renamed from Araneta Coliseum, specifically for the match. Ali won by technical knockout (TKO) after Frazier's chief second, Eddie Futch, conceded the fight prior to the 15th round. The contest's name is derived from Ali's rhyming boast that the fight would be a "killa and a thrilla and a chilla, when I get that gorilla in Manila."

Just back from a big square dance weekend in Winthrop, WA.

The Thrilla in Manilla was so brutal it caused permanent damage to both fighters. Neither fighter was as good or the same after that fight. It was beyond wicked!

I watched it a year or so ago on YouTube so that was a heck of a fight.

Over the course of the three-year TV series plus one movie in the 1960s, three different women played the role of Catwoman. Name any of them.
