Quote: | Just to make it interesting, Lost Lake seems to be about equidistant from Campeche, Villa Hermosa, and Gran Granada, so "Search SouthEast of Campeche" and "Search East of Villa Hermosa" often (but not always) send you there as well. If the map references Campeche, you'll probably be looking north and northwest of the lake; if Villa Hermosa, west or southwest.

That little bit of water looks like the south west corner of the good old Bay of Honduras.
There is a little lake just sw of this corner.
Willing to bet that this is that lake. |

Ahh, the famous Bay of Honduras map. Isn't that your favourate, Rupert?
The landmark is in a smallish lake that can barely be seen from the sea. land right in the angle of the "L" shaped coast, and travel a bit SW. Should start looking familiar. Listen to Rupert's clues....I believe he is the resident expert on this map! he helped me find it. _________________

Yup, it is otherwise known as "Rupert's Map" on this here forum.
Ok, it isn't, but it could! _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. (Rapier Master G. Morsicato Pallavicini, La Scherma Illustrata, p. 14.) |
