I just bought your game recently and really like it. The only thing missing is some sort of base of operation to where you can run a pirate empire and store captured ships and to expand. To be able to have captured trade ships to trade with other cities and to run a small squadron of ships. To make things difficult to be invaded my other powers. This would add more difficulty and to add more things to think about but also allow for general plundering while your base functions on its own. having minor repair facilities and what not. |

Welcome aboard!
Yes, we would LOVE to see a re-make of this game. It would be a lot of fun to open things up a bit and expand operations. Maybe some day Sid will want to do that. Let us hope so! |

I personally suspect that we might get a sequel or another remake relatively soon. I cannot see why Sid would have agreed to an interview about Pirates! recently otherwise... _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. Wasn't there a rumor about an upcoming android version? (Well, if I'm wrong and there wasn't a rumor before, I guess I've started one.) Maybe that's what is in the works. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. I do not think it stands much of a chance now; though I would love to be proved wrong. _________________ The Code is the Law. |

Re-do would be great with plenty of new features but keeping the cartoonish look. It really makes the game much more timeless. Also lack of gore is fine, so there would be more youngsters hooked on Pirates and it would be educational to them in a healthy way (tactical/strategic thinking, history, language etc). I really like the humour in SMP. |

Yeah, it was 2012, I believe, with a company called CREE or GREE. Nothing else was ever online about it. However, that announcement keeps coming up if you google pirates for android or similar.
oh well... |
