Calfskin boots ?

I have reloaded my game hundreeds of times and the dude in tavern won't offer me them .. Are they more rare than other items ?

Dude offers everything except stuff for dancing .. i'm so frustrated atm .. i stopped playing like a week ago .. now i just load to get them boots but nothing

+ I need the boots if i want to dance perfecly on many occasions Sad

help me plx .. ooargh mateys .. i suck as a pirate without them calfskin boots ..

P.S. Strange thing happened after i just posted this .. dude offered me them after 3 loads !! After hours of loading argh !! I'm so happy pirate now ..

Thanks ! It must be some guardian pirate spirit on this forum .. protector of all pirates .. as soon as i wrote this i got calfskin boots !! But before i wrote this .. it took me many hours of loading and nothing ! Now i can continue my adventure ! Smile

Make sure you go after the wanted criminals as well. When you have most of the special items and are only missing a few the chances are better of getting them from a wanted criminal after defeating them in the tavern. Duelling

Unfortunately, you can't get boots by romancing an attractive daughter. You might think they would want to help out their dance partners, but I think they view dancing as a test, and they don't want to help you cheat on the test.

Dave - Here's what I think Loki is saying: The mysterious stranger can offer you various things, including information, special items, and pieces of treasure maps. If you are holding all four pieces of a treasure map, then he cannot offer you another map piece until you dig up the treasure on your current map. Therefore, he must offer you either information or an item. Assuming what he offers is determined randomly, there is a greater chance he will offer you an item when he cannot offer you a map piece.

Of course, you'll still have to pay for the item. I have found that the price of items is correlated with the wealth of the city. The cheapest items are found in settlements.

As for ye Truth that Items are affuredly cheaper in Settlements or Pyrate Havens, that is indeed another reafon why I do ftop in these little Places of refort for a Spell. And, upon my Stay at a Pyrate Haven, I always invite a Pyrate Ship out, so I can capture it from ye Honourlefs Rogues, and thus make ye Refources won therof from ye Pyrate Prize pay for ye Week loft in the aforementioned, odious Place.

By the way, Roland, you may think of naming one of your ship Durandal, after Roland's sword...

He wrote so many great songs. I was fortunate to see him perform live not too long before he was diagnosed with cancer. My favorite Zevon album is still "Sentimental Hygiene," which I especially rely on when recovering from emotional turmoil caused by women.
