I have come to the end of the game and I was wondering whether it is possible to defeat Montalban on swashbuckler difficulty with poor health and all upgrades. Is it possible or should I start new game? |

I won it !!! After 3 days and 60 attempts I won. Hell of a fight. One of the most toughness bosses, if not the hardest I've ever seen in games  |

Congratulations!
Does that mean you had to defeat Montalban's army of Indians 60 times?
When I was in that situation, I think I gave up after five tries. Maybe I'll have to give it another shot now that I have a better understanding of Montalban's strengths and weaknesses as a swordsman. |

Yes, I fought indians around 60 times:) It's pretty annoying, luckily it only last 3-4 minutes. I also meant to give up but then it would be the first game that I gave up on end. Mostly I expected more from the game due to the praises of the reviewers, the game quickly becomes monotonous, constant struggle with the same two villain. But it's over, I beat one of the hardest boss in my gaming carrer:) Sorry for my bad english:)

I would havve given up. Monty is so fast at Swash that I would need to be very young when I fought him. I have quit playing Swash for this very reason. Good going there John444! |

You should read about the Challenges we have done! Pretty good stuff!
We played the game all the way thru to 126 points using a Dutch Fluyt all the way thru! Also, we have a guy who played this game for about 3300 years! Yes, that many game-years with the same character! Also, he took out a Ship of the Line using a War Canoe firing a cannon against the mighty SOTL! Yes, de-masted the big ship! |
