Treasure Galleon San Jose found

http://news.yahoo.com/sunken-treasure-ship-worth-billions-possibly-found-300-174802952.html

"The wreck of a lost treasure ship has been found 307 years after it vanished beneath the waves.

The galleon San Jose was found at the bottom of the Caribbean off the Colombian coast on Nov. 27, President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia said in a statement on Saturday (Dec. 5). Built in 1696, the Spanish galleon was lost in a sea battle with the English in 1708."

No way! Rupert wouldn't have let a treasure ship go to Davy Jones!

According to an article I read, the ship was sunk by the British Navy (what a waste).

Couldn't be me. SMP gave me a magic ship that you can just ram straight into it without destroying either ship and poof somehow your onboard fighting the Spaniards. It would be more challenging if you had to get up beside the galleon within grappling hook distance without getting blown out of the water.

To be fair, it would be difficult to depress the culverins enough to hit a canoe, and hard to hit something that small moving that fast at a distance.
Probably have to use grape shot to do it.

The best way for a galleon to handle a pesky canoe is to wait until they grapple, then drop a ball over the side and through their bottom. Saves on powder! The lone survivor holding the grapple will likely climb up and join your crew Victorious

I'll bet that would work against the Somali pirates - if anyone still carried cannon balls.

I would have about 40 men, 2 rows deep hide behind the rails and when the canoe pulled up along side, have them rise up and fire their muskets loaded with buckshot right iat the men inside the canoe. That would wipe most of them out.
