I think the version of the SMP showed in the video is the new version for the tablet computers (iPad).
Tried that version more than a couple of times and it works well. Dancing is quite easy when you get a hang of it, and attacking the cities/ports is made like in the Wii version (ship sails at the front of the port and you fire cannons at the defence forces). And sure you need some gaming practice to get good at it, like in sea battles, but that version is very good for gameplay. Also it's cheap to purchase.
I have issue with Youtube's "Best pirate games" videos. Like in this video, also the Watchmojo-propaganda, seems like they always put Assassin's Creed's Black Flag at number 1. That is no way true:
The true number 1 is Sid Meier's Pirates!
It always has been (amiga/commodore/original old skool version) and always will be (yea, let's wait for the SMP2). Newest graphics don't make the best.. |
