Hi guys,

What's your oppinion of the new remakes of some of the old Sierra adventures, made by Tierra entertainment ??
I haven't had a chance to play them yet, but I must say I love the idea of reviving the classics!!
I also love the "freesci" work done to make a sci interpreter that works on all platforms and which can enhance the graphics of some of the Sierra adventures Very Happy

oh Smile well I found out about them when checking out the soundtracks from Sierra posted by queststudios.

The link to Tierra (who as far as I remember have changed name by now) is:
http://www.agdinteractive.com/

The link to the soundtrack page is:

http://www.queststudios.com/quest/Sierra1.html

The link to the software for running older (AGI interpreter) Sierra games on XP machine is:

http://www.agidev.com/projects/nagi/

And the software (still in beta stage) for running old SCI interpreter Sierra games on XP machines is:

http://freesci.linuxgames.com/

There's also some software for running the old LucasArts / LucasFilm Games games XP machines which can be found here:

http://www.scummvm.org/

Also a few remakes have been made of classis LucasFilm games (Maniac Mansion and Zak Mackracken), which can be found here:

http://www25.brinkster.com/lucasfangames/

Happy hunting Smile I bet these things'll bring back memories!!

Any idea if they're going to revive Sierra's Aces flight sim games. I really loved Aces of the Pacific back when.

I love the old kings quest, space quest games... yes Larry as well.

I still remember dugging through the tunnel (Space Quest)... on the XT... then when my friend move the game onto AT 286... it was WAY too fast.

(I couldn't afford a true IBM yet at the time... so I had to play at my friend's house Sad ) Trying to pay off college loan then...

Yeah I'm a spacequest/qfg guy myself, although the first two police quests were also excellent in my taste, as well as the many non-series stuff like Freddy Pharkas. Gabriel Knight is of course the deepest in terms of plot, but they're all equally fun. I still have original copies of many of them. I'm happy that the ADGI people have started remaking QFG2, hoping to see it out someday.

There's already a PQ1VGA edition. In my opinion the original was far better.
