Do you know any Internet forum that ...

[1] helps you learn Swedish
[2] has an English-speaking section,
[3] has very low toxicity and incivility
[3] but also bans discussion thereof politics, religion, and other controversial topics?

I think it would be a nice bonus if they spoke Thai or had a Thai-speaking section as well, but it's not required.

I found a private tutor, which was very hard to do, since people teaching Swedish are very much in demand.

I still would find an Internet forum useful, but it's not as important as before.

Perhaps your tutor can suggest something

As lots is probably currently shutdown because of covid-19

From what I can gather, most Swedes learn English as a 2nd language
from an early age, so American TV or movies tends to be subtittled
rather than dubbed in Sweden.

Sweden is considered overall good for English but proficiency may vary.

Historical Swedish areas in the US
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Americans

Today, Swedish Americans are found throughout the United States, with Minnesota, California and Illinois being the top three states with the highest number of Swedish Americans. Historically, newly arrived Swedish immigrants settled in the Midwest, namely Minnesota, the Dakotas and Wisconsin, just as other Scandinavian Americans. Populations also grew in the Pacific Northwest in the states of Oregon and Washington at the turn of the twentieth century.

Flashback is not what I am looking for since it's political. The rest is useful.

I am aware of the thelocal.se and Duolingo.

Let's not discuss the situation in Sweden. I am not a naive person in that sense of not realising how strong people's opinions are these days.

One Swedish girl-friend did amuse us by speaking Swedish.

I can't tell if roliga means fun or amuse.

If the term means fun: A Swedish girl-friend is fun for speaking Swedish.

That's the best I can do without a translator. It's probably not accurate.

I know Pirate is having some fun, but just in case someone who is not familiar with the "team", let me say this: Members of the Swedish bikini team (while certainly lovely ladies) were NOT Swedish.

The Swedish Bikini Team was a group of American female models
(wearing platinum blonde wigs) who appeared in an advertising campaign for Old Milwaukee beer in 1991.

The premise of the commercials was that a group of bored or thirsty men were "saved" by the Fake Swedish Bikini Team.

The adverts included beer bottles, not than many noticed!

Way I see it if you got beer and women in bikinis around you it doesn’t get much better than that. I’ll skip my Swedish, math lessons and funeral for a moment like that.
