Now that I am done playing all the other strange games I have been playing, I'm back to playing Pirates. I just want one thing sorted, what am I supposed to be called? All my other names are pretty poor. Also what difficulty level should I take? I ain't really a expert at this game, but nor would I call me a novice at it... _________________

To be honest Matey I don't remember.
If that is the case then try it like this. Captain-Matey.
That looks pretty good to me. _________________

Everybody calls you by the rank you have. Would you want to be called Admiral Captain Matey? I'd try "Matey". Personally, I've ginned up a set of names for each nationality. English - Hawkes, or Powell, both are family names. Spanish - Sin Barba (No Beard) I thought this was funny. Dutch - Lofgren, that's a nod to Nils Lofgren, a guitar player who worked a lot with Neil Young. French - Falcone, a tribute to our estimable founder without whom this post would not be possible.

Maybe that. I tried to name my real life name once, accidentally over-saved that file, also my latest governors name was Barbossa after Pirates of the Carribean... I just usually take something that I like in the moment I create the characther... _________________

The level you choose should depend upon levels you've played previously and what you've learned.
Adventurer is easy so long as you know how to fence without constantly stabbing, Rogue is pretty much the same as adventurer except a little bit quicker.
Swash is really tough if you ask me. _________________ Sincerly,

Yeah. Swashbuckler is way too hard for me too, Adventurer is probably me but sometimes it's too easy too. Still I think Rogue is too hard. There should be a Adventurer/Rogue difficulty. _________________

Can't sympathize with you cause I play on Rogue and I think its too easy but they definatly need something between swash and Rogue.
What part do you have difficulty with in Rogue? Fencing? (Cause thats the part in swash that gives me troubles) _________________ Sincerly,

Agreed with you there. Swash just seems too jacked up for my arthritic fingers. Rogue has gotten a bit harder with the patch, still only Monty is any sort of a challenge. But, that's the way the cooky crumbles. I don't think the new owners remember they bought the game. _________________

I tried going up to Rogue on a Adventurer I made, and what was the most thing that I thought was hard, was the Land battle and Fencing. Althogh I went back down to Adventurer only a year after that, it lasts that I think it was hard. _________________

Well whats wrong with having the name Captain Matey? Maybe his first name could really be Captain! lol
Then the game would call him Captain Captain Matey.
And when he made Duke he would become Duke Captain Matey! _________________

I'm almost tempted to name my pirate "Lord"-something.
I think being addressed as Admiral Lord "your name here" sounds kinda cool.
I think the proper address is "Lord Admiral." Still. It works. And Duke Lord "name".
Or maybe "Sir." A Knighthood right from the beginning of the game. Hehehe.
Or you can go silly. Make a pirate named Basketball.
Duke Basketball.

I did name my pirate "Lord" one time. Once he made Lord, he was always addressed as "Lord Lord". funny... _________________ TheDon
