No coastal landmarks anywhere. I did use the same city for all of my maps, and the other three cities were in the same general region. It is the only area I could find with "real" landmarks (I couldn't walk through them), but the other three citys were all east or northeast of gran granada.

Uhhh. Run away because your computer obviously hates you and is trying to kill you. In other words: sorry, looks like a lost cause.

"North of Gran Granada", in my experience, refers to the northern coast of Honduras, way north of the city. Sail along that shore and land at each coastal landmark you find (Captain's Rock, Shark Reef, etc); strike well inland -- no coastline on the map, so it's a ways from the sea -- looking for the distinctive pirate treasure marker (a boulder with a skull-and-crossbones painted on it, which is about as subtle as a brick through a window). Using your spyglass to scan the landscape from atop ridges can help, provided the foliage isn't too thick.

It may take a while, but you should eventually track it down.

... except it's a lost city, so you should be looking for the distinctive shapes of the twin obelisks marking the gate

I gave up on this one. There were no coastal landmarks in the anywhere along the coast directly north or east of Gran Granada. I looked in the last sea area and couldn't find anything. As I said before the only "real" landmarks on the map were in the vicinity of where the other 3 cities were found (within spitting distance, two were in the exact same spot.) But I searched that area pretty thoroughly, almost walking TO Gran Granada.

Oh well, I still got my govenor rating. Sailor

Hmm... Do you still have the save game file handy? Someone else might be up for the challenge... Smile

When I said North of Gran Granada, I meant NORTH of Grana Granada; about as far as you can go before reaching water:

The coastline with the 'You are here' marker is the one you should search, from the pirate haven on the western end (in this game; probably something different in yours) to the English settlement at the east (again, almost certainly something else in your game).

I tried to get your file and take a shot at finding the City, but the file has expired. I'd still like to give it a go, if you wouldn't mind sharing the file again.

I should still have it. I will check tomorrow. It would be kind of nice to finally get that last city after all this time, even if I have to have help. Worst map ever.
