Has this ever happened to you?

I was on swashbuckler and dancing was pretty easy and I came into Nevis to get a piece of the Mayan City map. Normally I could do this without a problem and making one mistake usually did not prevent me from getting the map piece. But all of a sudden with no mistakes I did not do good enough. I had to redo the dance several times and the only time I got the map piece was one I pulled off 12 flourishes in a row.

So has this ever happened to you and if it has, why?

What he means is if the daughter was plain you won't get much for a perfect dance.

On the other hand, if she is beautiful, near perfection can get you a map piece.

Ugly daughters don't get out much...

Oh sorry I made this unclear. I was dancing with a beautiful daughter but I kept getting information on where Baron Raymondo was and not about lost cities, and it became a lot harder to get information on cities then it used to be, and I did not change the difficulty settings. I started off on swashbuckler

Well you should prolly go after the clue she gave you.

Normally the same daughter won't advance the clues she gives you until finish the one she gives.

No I was starting a whole new map, it happened that the same dancing made it so I only kissed her hand instead of doing the fancy ending sequence for when you do really well

Higher value dancing for higher value rewards

Since you obviously still have relatives in captivity the game deems information pointing you to their release more valuable than a mere treasure map.

Even if you know where this relative is, the fact that you haven't completed the rescue will generate the new Raymondo.

Now under the properly staged circumstances this may be an extra Raymondo and could be used to generate one of those rare but nifty "Evil Spaniard"

Or you could get every map piece for the family, rescue Grandfather, get all the items you can and attractive and beautiful daughters will automatically get you lost city pieces Very Happy Though you might have to fight Monty in poorer health if you use all that time for that.

That never happened to me. I find that the "beautiful" daughters are harder to please though, and you need to do better to get the peck on the hand. They give you better stuff than the ugly ones do (who are easier to please)

Guys, what you get from a daughter depends on what flavor she is and whether you kiss her hand or her lips when you finish dancing. And also to a post up at the top there, rather plain daughters are NOT ugly. A little shy maybe, not worth very much fame but they're not ugly. In fact, I once just said to hell with the rules of fame and married a plain French girl. I retired in my 50's after accomplishing all of my main goals (defeating the Marquis, saving my family, defeating all the pirates.) and I still made it to the rank of Surgeon after I retired. The rest of my days were filled with love and peace, all with a rather plain wife at my side.

Yes, I've dipped and kissed ugly daughters who I've danced terribly with and got pretty good info, but even if I dance pretty well (no mistakes but not a great amount of flourishes) with beautiful daughters, I usually just get a kiss on the hand and info on some criminal in Vera Cruz which I don't have time to go fight Sad

I generally avoid dancing with beautiful daughters before I have the Calfskin Boots. For me, they make a big difference.
