|
|
I can see why some players think dancing is the toughest mini-game in Pirates!. On Apprentice level, I almost always click the right button quickly, but I hardly ever get a flourish. I know that a flourish is performed only if the dance move is performed in time with the music, but I always have trouble getting even one per dance. Does anybody have any advice, tips, or pointers on how to perform many successful flourishes?
Thank You!
P.S. Do you think dancing is the most difficult of the mini-games? |

Just wait a second to hit the key for the corresponding move. It sounds counterintuitive, and you may miss a couple in the beginning, but once you get the hand of it it will help you alot. You'll see alot of girls looking at you like this... _________________ Go Fishing.

There is a great thread on this - look around the dancing forum. It should be high on the list - there was some discussion just in the month or two. |

I get like 6 every game. I don't think it's the hardest mini game. Just do what C. C. told you. |

My personal best is a depressing dozen or so per dance (it's really no way to rack those hearts up ). Like Capt. Cannon said, try and get in the rhythm of the music, and the moment after you think the beat comes, hit the correct key. A surefire trick is to watch the dancers' (and your) hands out of the corner of your eye -- they bob up and down with the beat. Try to move when their hands are at the lowest. It takes a bit of practice but you'll do good with it.
I recommend trying dancing on Journeyman with the dancing items (the boots and dancing slippers), they'll save you from making mistakes if you are too slow. Dancing on Apprentice is a mistake, I dance better in Journeyman than Apprentice, mainly because those distracting flashing buttons are gone. _________________

Dancing is definately considered one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult minigames in [Pirates!]. I have it down pretty well - around 10 - 15 flourishes per dance.
Try to hit the key right on the beat of the song, not when the daughter motions her hand. Also, try to get framiliar with the songs and the patterns, and it will come natural. Hope I helped!

[/i] | The beat of the song is one way. If you watch her head, rather than her hands, press the key as soon as her chin touches her chest. |
