howdy, uh uh i mean aaarrrggghhhh!!!!!!!!!
i play on a laptop so i don't have a numpad, i have to use the onscreen pad with mouse, i have to look at it to see where to put the cursor and click. so i can't watch the girl and the pad at the same time or go between fast enough.
My question is has anyone figured out how to keep the (prompts) flashing key tips on? like a cheat? obviously i struggle with rythm because the flashing is out of sync from the music and i can't watch the dancers much but it would be better than now where as soon as the keys stop flashing i get 2-3 steps behind and have to abandon that part of the game.
also, does the flashing (prompts) decrease with rank/ skill level or experiance at dancing? in other words if i just dance with like one or two daughters in stead of all them, can i still get the flashing prompts in the late game even though the rest of the game has progressed to higher skill level? or perhaps just focus on one daughter?
thanks, NIZ _________________ I THINK THEREFORE I AM; I THINK |

The flashing decreases after Aprrentice ansd stops after Journeyman. You just gotta train your eye to kinda watch both at once.

Yeah, I use an outboard number pad, and it works just fine for both dancing and fencing. I attach it to the left side of my computer so that I can use the num pad with my left hand and the mouse with my right without ever moving my hands. |

EVERY laptop has a numpad. Look at the keys: 789 uio jkl and you'll see the numpad numbers on them. Just press the Fn key to use them. _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. You might as well buy a desktop then. Think of one thing that's different from a laptop to a desktop if you buy that? Anyways, to answer your question, what I do is I had to turn down the difficulty by one, so that I could see the flashing, but enough so it's not at the easiest level. |

He means, you can't buy a desktop for the same price as an outboard USB numpad, usually under $20. If you know of a place where you can do that then rupertlittlebear wants 5 desktops at that price.
BTW, moderators sometimes travel in war canoes towing ICBMs |

Wow, imagine having a Ship of the Line equipped with ICBMs instead of cannons. |

Ah, but if both the Canoe and the Ship-of-the-Line are armed with ballistic missiles, the Canoe would win.
In any case, neither side would be able to use their missiles, since they'd be blowing themselves up as well... And, with the tech on board a regular 1600's ship, you cannot easily target wooden ships beyond the horizon.
Unless you are Rupert, of course... _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. (Rapier Master G. Morsicato Pallavicini, La Scherma Illustrata, p. 14.) |

The canoe's missle uses a pigeon guidance system.

I don't see how the Canoe would win, either because the Ship of the Line has like 40 more cannons than the War Canoe, or because they're nukes, which means whoever fires first will destroy the other and themselves. Also, are you sure that if you press the "fn" key on the keyboard, and then the keys with numbers on them, then that's the laptop's numpad? Thanks! _________________ All your ports are belong to us!
