The British often kept the name of a ship and at least two of these ships were once French war ships but the Royal Navy captured them. Hint one ship defeated all of these ships. What ship was it.

OK I make it easy on everybody. Those British ships all have one thing in common other than being ships that were in service for the Royal navy. They all were involved in a battle with what is now known as he world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. She is still afloat at this very moment. Her maiden voyage: was July 22 1798 and her later defeat of the HMS Guerriere [a a 38-gun frigate that was once a French warship until the English captured her] gave her a nick name. So what does those five British ships have in common? Answer They were all defeated by what ship?

The funeral was delayed because he died at sea, but I used google so I don't think my answer counts.

Care for some brandy? No, not from that cask.

Was that the origin of the saying :

"In a Pickle "?
or
"Right in the Pickle Barrel" ?

So Mr Blue gave a 2 good clue's - this person died at sea - and was important enough that the body was pickled in brandy for the voyage home.

A man makes a claim that he can predict the exact score of every football game, before it begins. And he's always right. How's that possible?

The score of a football game before it starts is always zero to zero.
