How about Chad. That country seems pretty big (without looking at a map). |

This is embarrassing. Once again, I took off for a weekend RV Camping with friends and used my Samsung Galaxy S7 to view this web site. Once again, a post came up THAT I DID NOT SEE! Don't know what causes this but it omits posts every now and then and I did not see Mr. Blue's post. Very awkward! Also, his research shows there is a difference in opinion as to the size of different UK Cities. I never suspected that. I was using a Trivia Web site as guidance for that question. I apologize to everyone here, especially Mr. Blue! |

Yes - Algeria is the largest country in Africa. The Democratic Republic of Congo is a close second. |

That would have been my nest guess. The equator factor again. I am suffering from eyestrain and took the day off from the internet, then I remembered the quiz. I am logging off again.

Well I understand the floor is open so hopefully nobody hits the submit button a tenth of a second before I do. A sailing route followed by certain mainly English pirates, during the late 17th century and early 18th century led from the western Atlantic, parallel to the Cape Route around the southern tip of Africa, stopping at Madagascar, then on to targets such as the coast of Yemen and India. What was this route known as? |

The question is all yours Pirate. I was getting close to asking one but this is fine you beat us to the punch.
I have never heard of the route of the Pirates. I certainly would not like to sail a wooden ship around the Cape of Good Hope. I hear the waves can get pretty big there and the winds strong!

Oh! I have actually been reading about this recently; The Pirate Round! Made certain pirates (like Edward England and John Taylor) quite wealthy and famous. _________________ The Code is the Law. |

Captain Teague answered correctly. It was called The Pirate Round. Your turn Captain. |

Before we pirates began using it (to great effect, I might add), whose ships flew the skull and crossbones?
