Very good, pirate! Too bad that was not an official question....

Official question: What is the etymology of the word "soccer"?

Wait 24 hours before using Google.

The full name of the game is "association football". I think "soccer" somehow derives from "association".

Very good, Roland! You win a cookie.
Our word "soccer" is indeed a shortening of "Association Football". Your turn, mate.

Close enough. It's the whole pole arm, not just the blade. It is roughly equivalent to a glaive. In a lighter form, it is a traditional home-defense weapon used by Japanese women.

Your turn.

LOL. I knew it was the whole weapon, I was describing it. I admit though, I worded it poorly. I see where the confusion came from.

Who is Norville Rogers? Wait 24 hours before Googling.

A man voiced the cartoon character 'Scooby Doo' through all of the various versions on television from 1969 to 1985 to include four television films, and a number of commercials.

Who was that man?

Good answer, but incorrect. A different man provided the voice of Scooby Doo.
