The correct answer is . . . Mongolia! Perhaps Mongols have an edge in sumo because their country has a strong wrestling tradition of its own. Along with horsemanship and archery, wrestling has been a key element of Mongolian martial culture at least since the time of Genghis Khan.

On Monday, the first sumo tournament of the year will commence. If you've never watched sumo, you should give it a try. It is the perfect sport for people with short attention spans. A typical match lasts about 15 seconds. During tournaments, NHK World broadcasts each day's top-division highlights. The day's 21 matches fit easily into a 25-minute program, including a replay of each match.

New question: On this date in 1968, a famous concert took place in California. The resulting album is universally regarded as one of the ten greatest live albums of all time. What artist headlined this concert? No cheating - I'll give hints after wrong answers.

Not Neil Diamond or Jimi Hendrix. (I just watched excerpts from an old Neil Diamond concert on PBS earlier today.)

The album reached number one on the Top Country Albums chart.

I've never heard of a bull shark, but I'll guess 2200 miles.

2200 miles it is. These large salt water sharks have been seen 2200 miles up the Amazon River. In the USA, they have been seen in St. Louis! There has been a report of someone being attacked in Lake Michigan.

Hmm. Moreau looks French to me, so I'll guess Jacques.

Both Jacques and Pierre are incorrect.

Hint: The assistant is English.
