LOL! I just tried to imagine what sport a hockey goon might enjoy playing when there's no ice!

Next question: What is the Columbian Exchange?

I've heard the term before.
But I don't recall in which context as yet.

I've been a farmer and traded commodities, so Columbian Exchange makes me think of a floor to trade weed and cocaine futures and options. Shocked Shocked

I think it was still about agriculture, but at the time of Columbus.
Was it transporting Old World and New World crops? Say introducing sugar cane, wheat and indigo to the Western Hemisphere, and potatoes, tomatoes, and beans to Europe?

I'm going to give it to you. Crops were one part of the Columbian exchange, certainly. But it encompasses the entire interchange between the two previously isolated hemispheres - people, technology, plants, animals, diseases, etc.

I'll try something a little bit different.

We are familiar with many of the Caribbean islands, and know that the 5 largest are from largest down- Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad.

The 5 largest Mediterranean islands have familiar names, too. They are all smaller than Hispaniola and bigger than Trinidad.

The first person to correctly name 3 of the 5 largest Mediterranean islands in descending order wins. For example- If you said Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, & Trinidad you would win on a similar Caribbean question. You don't have to know the rank number of any island, just relative size. You can look at a map after your first guess.

I always thought Crete was relatively bigger, I guess it's a matter of perspective and being near smaller islands.

Well done! Your turn, Roland. [/b]

On this date in 1953, Niagara beat Siena 88-81 in the longest college basketball game ever played. How many overtimes did they play?

What is Columbia's top export commodity?
Hint: It's not coffee.
Wait 24 hours before doing a search.
