Wow, Guru, what a treat! Thank you!

I've started going through your maps; I saw the NW of Santo Domingo and put on a big grin - it's been so frustrating not being able to complete Hispanola. It looks like you have lots of other good shots in there.

Thank you, I will post an integrated map this week!

Also, would you care to vote on an aesthetic question? When I started messing with the maps in Gimp, my overlay method turned the overlapping maps yellow. I now know how to prevent it... but on the other hand, looking at the big map, in some ways it is nice to be able to see at a glance where the treasure maps are. What do you think looks best?

Good thing they finally come to use Smile As you now know, I've not pointed them out on the big map, so just tell me if you can't sort some of them out.

Personally I think how you made the last map was nice (yellow treasure maps), but do you know of a way to make the whole map a lot bigger, or maybe being able to zoom in on specific parts of the map? The resolution of the last map is too low to make any use out of it Sad

Well, there are two answers to that last question.

One is to save it to disk, pull it up in your favorite viewer, and zoom in. Don't view it over the web directly.

The other answer is that it really has lost a lot of detail. The treasure maps were scaled by .15 x .25, and that's a lot of detail lost. You can still distinguish the different types of bumps, but just barely. I'm going to make my next iteration scaled .3x.5, in hopes that that will help. So far that has caused my computer to slow to a crawl, but I think I'll find a way.

Thanks in advance!

Must admit I didn't think of saving it to the computer, not too skilled with this computer magic Question

Got a bit better, but it would be awesome to scale it up a bit further Smile

Praise Sid as your LORD and SAVIOUR and he will grant you infinite copies of Pirates!

Funny story: One man told Sid that he left his wife for Civilization 4.
