Bill Gates was talking with the CEO of Ford
Bill: Microsoft had a great year. How about Ford?
CEO of Ford: Terrible.
Bill: You should study my methods. I get great results.
CEO of Ford: You mean:
1: every time I make a new model of car I should change the controls so people have to learn all over again how to drive,
2: I should build them so that the new cars are not compatible with the same roads that the old cars used, and
3: I should design them so they keep crashing for no apparent reason? _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

I think the CEO of Ford took Mr. Gates's advice! I was given a loaner car overnight while my catalytic converter is being replaced. Before I could drive it, I had to be given a three-minute lesson in where the controls are located and how they work. Everything is different! Except for the steering wheel, everything works by pushing buttons! When driving a car other than my own, I always have a brief moment of panic when I reach for the clutch and can't find it. |

You clutch at the clutch?
Then you can't find the pedal so you try to backpedal out of having to use that car?
Then Captain Kirk tries to use an antique 21st century car and complains that the transmission won't beam him anywhere! Sorry, captain, but it ain't a matter transmission. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it.
