I'm surprised I didn't post this one before. This is a "reading" dog in training. Children who have trouble reading are given a chance to read to a dog as a no pressure and fun way to build their reading skills. Younger kids may even believe that they are teaching the dog to read. The kids in the photo can read fine. They are just teaching the dog how to sit still and listen.
