Well messing around with the Havana filled Carribean exe I made proved that larger cities means less sacking opportunities. I managed to capture a Frigate and Brig of War early on after starting a new game. Had little trouble recruiting since the cities held more folks and more folks means more people available to be hired. Still it took me about 4 tries at the pissed off French Settelments to find one who was small enough to give me the option to sack it. I was still way out numbered and losing badly but won by having one group to stay away from the fight and make its way to the forts gate. All of my men were killed except for this group and if those horsemen had just one extra move I would've lost them.. I noticed that pirates and Indians seem to have a more difficult time in this mod compared to the unmoderated version. Using the trainer I know it would be possible to really create some monster cities. I can create them and insert them in the exe from a saved game. If your bored with the game then add larger cities. Through in some sexy women and you've got a new game folks. It's better too.

Um. Doesn't seem to be much interest in making cities larger. What ideas does anyone have that might make the game more better?

If the game could be modded to create these large cities by default, I would be all over it. As-is, it just seems like too much work. It is an interesting idea, though. As for other ideas, I believe I already posted one.

Thanks for the comments Captain. As we all know or at least some of us do the exe. holds the default cities. However with that being said there is a random element that comes into play as well as game play itself will change cities. The default cities in the exe can be changed for almost everything including nationalities, what era they will show up in or not and even the population. In a test of this I made all cites using the trainer larger by doubling their population and soldiers. Then I saved the game and opened it up and found all the city information inside. What happens is when you first fire up the game the cities get read from the exe and transferred over to memory and saved games. So what happens if you change the default exe. cities with some big cities you created in the saved game? your default cities are now bigger too without needing any trainer whats so ever to create them with. You create once with a trainer, save a game, take them out and put them in the exe. your done with the trainer.

Oh I want to mention too it's really not very time consuming provided you know how or where to find the cities in both the saved game and the exe. More or less a copy and write over job even if you do one city at a time it could all be done in less then a hour.

Aye, unfortunately I do not know how to mod the exe. Still, sounds like a really fun mod. Maybe in a couple of weeks when I am not as busy.

I wish the game could be changed permanently so in the Turks and Caicos Islands there is a pirate haven called Cutlass Isle and the tavern is the Salty Dog Tavern. Then all would be well!

Actually, that does sound pretty cool!

I don't remember where those islands are, though. I know I've never been there.

The pirate havens etc. are a different cookie altogether then the cities. They are more random. i mean yes I could easily name one of the pirate havens to Cutlass Isle but the problem is Cutlass Isle could show up anywhere and not in the same place. We know Port Royal is always going to be located in the same place but the Devils Playground could show up here for me and over there for you. it would be different each time you fired up a new game. The best shot you would have for this is to keep firing up a new game until the pirate haven showed up in a location you liked then make a copy of the saved game so you can always start from here with the pirate haven in your preferred location. Also all pirate havens use the same tavern texture. I could mod a Salty Dog tavern scene but not only would it show up at Cutlass Isle but it would also show up at the High Rollers Casino as well.

When it comes to mini skirts girls I woundnt need the booze to get a buzz on. I would just grab her and take her to cloud #9 till it was time to trade her in for a new one.
