The troops at the fort should be happy, as I see a case of Heineken Beer. |

Sorry I didn't tell everybody to have a happy Thanksgiving. Been busy hunting deer. Got a nine pointer today. Anyway I also have been working on the mod. I think I am going to go back to the original plan of keeping it more realistic rather then off the wall nudity and other craziness. I mean yes it's fun but kinda unrealistic is it not. Of course the tavern could be a place for some of that stuff but not everywhere you look. Actually I have been doing less texture work of late and been modding the game itself. I think I have the cities about where I want them. The important cities in the East indies are now just that and the trade descriptions seem to be matching up with the prices they are bringing and selling for in the game. I just mixed and matched cities from the Caribbean until I got the desired results. |

Congratulations on the fine deer! Did you use a rifle or slug gun to get it? Hope it cooks up good. |

Thanks Salty. I used a Modal 70 Winchester Black Shadow rifle chambered in 300 Winchester magnum. The ammo was Federal 180 grain Power Shock so nothing fancy with either the gun or ammo but one shot he dropped. Unfortunately I destroyed one shoulder on the animal but it's a big deer so plenty to eat still. |

Congratulations on getting a deer with one shot. Many of my nephew's family are deer hunters, and usually harvest a minimum of one buck every year. |

Congratulations on the deer, Pirate! How will you process and cook it? |

I'm going to try my hand at making some deer jerky this time. |

I dearly love my 300 WinMag. True it's a little overpowered for deer, but I can't recall having to track any that I'd hit. Or saying "That one's too far away." |

I would like to use my Winchester Model 92 lever action in .45 Colt or my Thompson Center Contender single-shop rife with .30-30 barrel from Bullberry Barrel Works for hunting. It would add a dash of flair I'd think. My hat is off to the bowhunters, especially the ones that use the old long bows and home-made arrows! |

I might do a basic version like add the Portuguese sail emblems which was wasn't included in the original version. The text has been improved by replacing the Caribbean with the East Indies instead of just replacing the French with with Portuguese. Whatever y'all think. I did a little experiment with the bartenders using the pirate nif. They all now sport the same textures as the original game but have a pirate hat, earring and eye patch the same as the pirate bartender. Has anybody killed a deer with a spear yet. I might try that next. |
