So this thread is putting a few tweeks in the brethren of the coast mod, done by mcsmarties years ago.


If anyone has any other ideas, please list. I can't mod, so you would have to gracioiusly ask another poster for the request

Did you plan to use the changed the Dutch flag dds files from
the May 31 2009 version of the Brethren mod?

Have you extracted those flags from the fpk file? Do you need any help with that?

I cant' mod anything. The best i've ever done with any game is editing text files.


Sometimes though not too often i see the old dutch orange flag instead of the pirate one. maybe extracting the brethren flags outside the FPK file would work better

The reason your seeing the Dutch Flag sometimes is due to error by the mixer. If I remember correctly he left out a flag. Also the uniforms are incorrectly done. The thing that puzzles me is he used Devguys sexy outfits for the plain and attractive daughters but made the beautiful daughters modest and the barmaid too. I once couldn’t install a mod much less make one. All it takes is a strong desire to want to learn. Read everything ask questions and don’t worry about mistakes rather learn from them. That’s all it takes.

I think pirate is correct. I compared the Dutch flags in the game' pak fiiles with McSmarties flags, and noticed the game files had a file named flag_dut1.dds that was not included in McSmarties' mod.

I've mad a quick mod of a flag_dut1.dds

no problem fleetp, i didnt intsall anythign yet. I guess il'' just deal with the dutch texts, my eyes can't handle looiing at a screen for hours on end those glaucoma eye drops dry them out too much and make them sensitive, and i put in artificial tears several times a day too to help with the dryness and senstitivity. I"m typing right now using my home keys training, not visually though

1) all dutch texts renamed as brotherhood
2) slower aging mod
3) no CD fix
4) Barbados island shift. Thats modded and finished, all done

adam mils slower aging mod should be easy to install

I donl care about the no cd fix


The barbados island fix is in the mod downloads section and is easy to install


It's just those pesky dutch referances . its brethren in this mod!

The slower aging mod doesn't seem to be available separately.
It appears that to get it one must create a new exe using adammil's challenge pack.
Is that correct?

Yes the only way to get the slower aging mod is to make a new executable selecting the mod.

I got the Brethren installed in my mod. Atta boy pirate now shut up before someone things you made the game.
