Thanks for the tutorial, Wolf.
I'd like to add that Microsoft Paint and IrfanView work very well and are absolutely free and extremely easy to use. _________________ Avast ye scurvy bilge-rats! Strike yer colors and perpare to be boarded. Arrrr... |

It's entirely possible to do, but it probably won't look all that great unless you isolate the dragon. From a distance it will just look like a blue and black mess. Just my two cents. _________________ Avast ye scurvy bilge-rats! Strike yer colors and perpare to be boarded. Arrrr... |

- May sound a bit stupid...
- Be it possible to make all the sails black? Or no...Be it possible to make emblem for all the sails? _________________

There is a mod that will make your sails black. Along with everyone else's, which is why I got rid of it. It kind of took the novelty and coolness out of having black sails.
I don't think anyone has figured out a mod for all the sails. I don't think it's really necessary. An emblem for every sail sounds to me like overkill. _________________ Avast ye scurvy bilge-rats! Strike yer colors and perpare to be boarded. Arrrr... |

Thank you so much for the tutorial. I had been making emblems before, but the surround sail texture was always affected. Thanks to this tutorial I finally have my assorted emblems(among them some very nice swedish royal coats of arms). So thank you once again and good luck with your continued pirating. |

Happy to hear that the tutorial is still useful!
And happy to hear that there are some neighbours on the forums! The flags and sails tutorial is great!
I thought flag and emblems creation were difficult but now I've made some and it's very easy! |

Good to hear!
Yup, I thought it might be difficult as well, before I tried it for the first time. I read some tutorials to learn in, but all of them seemed to gloss over this area or that, so I decided to make one that would make each step clear. _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. The issue with Sails and Flags being completely black is due to not saving the image with mip-maps enabled... many don't use them as they image get seriously blurred unless the right filters are being used.. my preference is to use the "sinc" filter in DXTBmp.... I accidentally did this and saw them as black, and went back and looked, and fixed it, and now all is fine.... |

If anyone happens to have a copy of the final version of the tutorial mentioned in the first message in this thread, I'd appreciate to have a copy of it... It appears that I lost my only local copy at some point and then the one online when my university account closed some years ago.
So, if anyone actually still possesses it, send me a copy!
