Roland is right again! Yes, mosquitos carry diseases like malaria and now the Zika virus. Thousands of people die each year.

Mosquitoes crossed my mind but since they aren't animals I chose a different answer. Mosquitoes are insects. Am I not right? A snake couldn't be right either because its a reptile and not a animal. The point I'm trying to make here is the question wasn't worded correctly if skeeters was what you were talking about.

In a bluegrass band with five members, each playing a different standard acoustic bluegrass instrument, what would be the total number of strings?

No cheating. One guess per contestant. If no one gets it, the closest answer wins.

Who am I?

I am an American singer-songwriter, arranger, musician, and producer and my career that has spanned over 50 years. I have recorded and released 47 Top 40 singles, including 12 that hit number one and 27 of which appeared within the top ten, and has released many multi-platinum albums. I am ranked as the top Adult Contemporary chart artist of all time, according to R&R (Radio & Records) and Billboard magazines, and Rolling Stone crowned him "a giant among entertainers… the showman of our generation." Although not a favorite artist of music critics, I have been praised by several well-known entertainers, including Frank Sinatra, who was quoted in the 1970s as saying, "He's next." In 1988, Bob Dylan stopped me at a party, hugged me and said, "Don't stop what you're doing, man. We're all inspired by you.

Before hitting the big time, I wrote jingos - music for commercials. Some of my biggest ones were "I am Stuck on Band-Aid" for the Band Aid bandages. and the State Farm Insurance jingo ("Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there"), and the famous MacDonald's commercial "You Deserve a Break Today". I also wrote jingos for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and others.

I started local and my big break came when Bette Midler caught my act and told the music companies about me.

I am well known as a performer for Dick Clark on his famous TV show and his New Years Eve shows.

I am still very active and am 74 years old.
