It was Neil Armstrong.
You'll naturally argue Armstrong was first, which is true but I contend the following:
Armstrong descended the ladder of the LEM, and after a brief pause took several steps.
He then paused again, followed by several more steps.
Thus, Armstrong is both the first and second person to walk on the Moon.
Okay, I'm done bein' a smartass, for now. I believe Salty is correct with Aldrin, but ofc we wait for the questioner's call. |

Well I figure Armstrong is only one person so it wouldn’t matter how many times he stepped onto the moon before anybody else he can only be counted as the first leaving Mr. Buzz as the second individual to do so. Your turn Salty. |
