Historical American flags: Including Republic of Texas flag, Betsy Ross flag, first official US flag, Johnny Reb flag, Bonnie Blue, "Don't Tread on Me" in both Naval Jack and Gadsden versions, plus a few other historical American flags.
Yes, I know, a little ahead of the time for Pirates! time periods, but these are just for fun.

A good idea, a definite addition to my collection. Maybe you can try historical flags from some of the nations in the game? An older Brit flag for example, or maybe flags of nations not included: Italy, Russia, Ireland

Thanks for the other flags Alpine! I really enjoy seeing my ships with the gadsen jack/ensign. I borrowed the images that were then modified by me from this website.

http://www.gadsden.info/ Good site about the history of the flag, it was basically the first american flag flown on the first ships of the US Navy. The USA probably wouldn't have gotten off the ground unless privateering was still around in the late 18th century. I'm not aware of any other country that has rules about Letters of Marque in thier constitutions.
