The guy's last name is appropriate. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

I have no idea, but I'll guess Jules Verne. |

I have no idea either but will guess Charles Dickens.
We had a great time visiting Athens on Wednesday, saw the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, visited the Temple of Zeus and the stadium built for the 1896 Olympic Games. We had a great lunch at the Plaka not far from the center of old Athens. It is a great place to visit.
Today we arrived in Catania, the second largest city in Sicily. We visited the Ancient Greek City of Siracusa - the largest Greek City around 250 B.C., much larger than Athens or Ny other Greek City. It had an awesome Greek theater and an enormous quarry visited. Unfortunately, most of the old city is gone and buried under the newer cities. We also a big Roman amphitheater from 24 B.C., about 100 years before the Colsseum. Fun day! |

Exemplary Novels was published about two centuries before Dickens and Verne were born. |

Oh him. I never would have thought of that guy.
I can't answer, because I googled without permission. _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

Last clue: The author's previous novel, published eight years earlier, has been called both the first modern novel and the best work of fiction ever written. |
