I'm something of a fan of this game. I played it when I was really young, so now I feel old enough to finally complete it 100%. I already beat De La Montalban, and I like to think i'm decent with maps, but I have a map to the lost city of the Mayas with NO WATER. No coast, no towns, no lakes, no named rocks like governor's reef or whatever. It says "search southeast of Campeche" which is SUPER vague. The city itself is on the center-left of the map and most of the other tiny landmarks are on the right, leading me to believe that it's on the East Coast of guatemala-ish. Any help is appreciated Smile

Firstly, do you see any indicator of it in the ingame map

When you zoom in on the map, is the location icon if present on land ?

Couple of ways of doing this

one is sail along the coast and use the Telescope to check on any
likely landmarks.
Geyers are sort of randomly spread around so don't use them.
This works best if you have a by the coast target location.

"search southeast of Campeche"
Probably means you need to land near Campeche
Save point here recommended
Ensure you have sufficient food
Don't enter the town.

March in the bearing of Southeast Cameche
Frequently check your progress on the ingame map
Using any high ground vantage points along the way
with your telescope

Lost cites entrances are a couple of red poles

EDIT:

Does your map look anything like this

If so then further info here

It'll always be close to a 'landmark' stone. Example; if it says Southeast of Campeche, sail directly across from Campeche and sail South. The first landmark stone you come to, go ashore. If you don't see landmarks, ie, arched rock, dead trees etc. return to your ship and continue South to the next landmark stone.
