Sun spots follow an 11-year cycles. Our current cycle started in December 2019 and will peak around the summer of 2024. The biggest cycle on record was Number 19, which peaked in the late 1950's. Cycles since then have decreased but they are now predicting they will once again start increasing. Here is a chart of the past 100 years:
