These are all the settings that you can set in your config.ini file. They are in the order which Pirates!.exe parses them. If anybody has any info on ones I missed or the ones I don't know what they do, please post.

WindowWidth = ###
WindowHeight = ### (These both should be obvious, you can set them to w/e you want, but if you set it to one Pirates! doesn't natively support, it will get reset when you go to video options)

AudioSystem = ??? (Not sure what this is for, maybe same as 3DAudioDriver)

FullScreen = 0 or 1 (0 makes it windowed, 1 makes it fullscreen)

GameSpy = ??? (Not sure what this one does)

WatchDog = ??? (Not sure about this one, setting it to 1 displays "Lost #" at the bottom of the screen, not sure what the number means)

HeapCheck = ???
DebugKeys = ??? (both of these are probably 0/1 boolean values, and are for debug purposes.)

Gamma = ### (in format 1.000000, for your gamma)

AllowScreenShots = 0 or 1 (hmmm, I wonder what this is for :-X)

DebugShaders = 0 or 1 (probably to debug the shaders, haven't tried it)

CreateFNT = ??? (dunno)

TimeInMenu = ??? (dunno)

AttractAudioLevel = ??? (dunno)

TerrainShader = ??? (maybe toggles the terrain shader specifically)

KeypadStatus = 0 or 1 (0 = hide, 1 = show the keypad map in the bottom right corner of the screen)

3DAudioDriver = "BLAH" (the name the audio driver, without quotes. Better let Pirates! set this one)

MasterVolume = 1.000000
MusicVolume = 1.000000
SFXVolume = 1.000000
DanceVolume = 1.000000 (hmmmm, tough one)

WaterDetail = 0-3
WorldDetail = 0-5
ObjectDetail = 0-2 (levels of detail)

MyName = "BLAH" (the default name for starting new characters, without quotes)

Remarks = ??? (dunno)

ShowMenuBox = ??? (dunno)

DisplayShadows = 0 or 1 (another tough one)

TrilinearFiltering = 0 or 1 (again)

DisableShaders = 0 or 1

AdvancedLighting = 0 or 1

CustomSail = "BLAH"
CustomFlag = "BLAH" (name of the .dds file for your ships flags and sails, without quotes)

IsSlowMachine = 0 or 1

SkipIntro = 0 or 1
SkipMovie = 0 or 1

MaxDolphinz = ###
DolphinzFreq = ### (not sure what values are appropriate)
DolphinzStartAt = ### (dunno anything about it)

MaxGullz = ###
GullzFreq = ###
GullzStartAt = ### (all 3 are just as above)

Canuck = 0 or 1 (turns the game into "Canadian English" kinda comical)

The above post so far is the only place where I saw the Canuck setting
or seen this fully listed which helped encouraged me to repost it

Canuck is Probably for El Sid himself being a Canuck
easter egg thing at a guess

can't recall the Dolphinz or Gullz settings elsewhere

Not all those settings are in a config.ini file anyway
as installed by the game
more the apparently available options that could possibly be used
if you tweak your ini file

Stuff like this, game excutable switches or game cheat options
if available tends to be compiled by someone looking through all the
game executable text in a Hex Editor

GameSpy back in the day was an online games server host
now defunct.
one of the console SM pirate Games, PSP had multiplayer.

Lol, finally tried it with Canuck set to "1" and it just adds "eh?" after a bunch of lines of text. Starting eras, ship descriptions, even the option to march into battle

Canuck

A slang term for Canadians. You may have heard this in the world of sports, as we cheer our national team while dressed in a stereotypical Canadian costume (think Mountie or moose) or as part of team names such as the Vancouver Canucks – although Torontonians only know the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Eh? - This is the classic Canadian term used in everyday conversation. The word can be used to end a question, say “hello” to someone at a distance, to show surprise as in you are joking, or to get a person to respond. It’s similar to the words “huh”, “right?” and “what?” commonly found in U.S. vocabulary.
