I believe the port direction corresponds to a clock face-type entry, in hex. Been a while since I took a lot at it but I believe some of the posts in the East Indies thread discussed it.

Corsair, agreed that a set of how-tos might help in that regard, but given that we can't sticky threads or put anything on the main site it might be worth hosting externally somewhere

Noticed than The Personal Inventory Items Icons are no longer displayed
below the Avatar Picture in Thread posts.

Checked the Personal Inventory in the Shop, can see Items names but
no icons. Icons in the Shop Inventory Stores mostly still work.

Site File Permissions may have changed at a guess

That's one of the things that will probably never get fixed, as the original designers of that part of Hooked on pirates did their own special coding, which is not compatible with current board software (which is also out of date, and not likely to be fixed). Crying or Very sad

Noticed

Right Clicking on a Thread name in Chrome Browser
to open it in a new tab,
which worked previously, now gives this error

This request is not acceptable

It works if you left click and open it in the same tab

EDIT:
possibly down to the number of active site connections,
as better chance of this working properly with a low number of site users

Right Clicking not working is incredibly annoying
as have muscle memory issues to overcome

2nd EDIT:
There may be a site max User connections limit now set at a guess

Recent Site Performance - Thread Clicking Issues is probably down to the excessive number of Guest Users Site connections - Users checking out the movies threads in the Pirates! Chat forum here. Going by the ever increasing thread views numbers.

Feel Free to take those Movie threads out if required.
(assuming make them members only content is not possible).
One of the threads is now locked.
(may want to keep the included thread Movie Titles Content List post)

Have an archive copy of those Movie thread posts anyway.
(archived by pasting the posts content into a Notepad Text file,
Notepad has a useful search feature).

Anyway, all the Movie links can be found by a little searching.
The Movie Titles List is the important info anyway.

There will be no further Movie links or Movie thread posts
as crippling the site was not the intention.

I will be stepping down the amount of my future posts, anyway
from today.

I can still delete threads. If there are any of the 'movie' threads you want to keep, reply to this post with the name(s) of those threads, and I will delete all of the other 'movie' threads.

Were people finding the movie threads from google searches? We should probably lose a lot of the old threads in stuff like Other Games, maybe the declining software can get a second lease on life if some space is cleared up. Or maybe the deletions just end up getting cached somewhere

I have no idea how much server space hookedgamers has set aside for us. Likewise I don't know if deleted 'stuff' gets cached; it is probably permanently deleted after a certain amount of time.

Typically after 30 days deleted stuff is permanently deleted

Google search probably caches search results anyway,
or at least it did in the past
