my wish list

hi,im new to the forum and was totaly thrilled to see a remake on the way of my favorite game of all time and a active comunity to go with it.been playing the game forever like every one else lol,just wanted to post my personal wish list..

1,how about being able to capture towns and turn them in to pirate ports so you can be at war with all countries, or maybe even have one pirate port you can allways sail back to for repairs selling of goods and so on.

2,a multi player system realy on any scale would be awesom makeing some friends haveing a pact to sail together and rampage other folks and towns for goods and ships,even if the game session lasted a hour it would be a blast

games such as death match between 16 playerswith ships would be sweet

or team death match where groups of teams with there own ships tries to sink as many of the other teams ships in a certain amount of time would be cool.

or even a team capture would be neat where a team of ships trys to take a town or island that the other team is defending with there ships as part of there team trys to take your island at the same time.kinda like a attack and defend

3,how about the ability to make custom flags or paint jobs for your ships with a in game editer or even a chance to make your charecters apperance such as hair dirt clothes and so on, or even a plugin for 3ds max for folks to make there own ships from scratch

4,may be even a mission editer for folks to make a envirement of there own with missions for others to down load and enjoy..

I haven't seen it verified yet wether you can occupy towns. Sure hope it can be. Did anyone else pick anything up on this one?

No multiplayer in the game. If you want to do something along those lines, check out Pirates of the Burning Sea.

Custom flags are quite likely.

Haven't heard about an editor either but it's probably not a complete no-no.

thx for the welcome,i knew there wouldnt be any multiplayer just on my wish list.lol and i dont wont to touch any other of those scurvy games,i will just wait around and be happy with what i get.been praying for a updated version and it seems ones on the way so one wish allready came true.all though i do mostly game building and modding for fps games the call of the sea has all ways been there,just cant wait to get me feet wet.

i was just hopeing on a mis editer so i can be buried with my copy of pirates

Welcome to the forum Life... many articles read which you can catch under the articles section I have noticed there will be many moddable parts of the game Flags for sure but don't know how far in depth it will be.
Sorry on the multiplayer but don't be surprised if this game goes as well as I think it will that on an expansion version they make a multiplayer version. Who knows. Just as excited as anyone else that has been waiting 17 yrs for the game to come back.. Got tired of pirates games being compared to Pirates! but not living up to it IMHO

lol no kidding i was so tired of waiting so i started to mod the old game just replaceing pics with my own for a crisper look,heres a pic of the barmaid

wound up geting involved with some other modding projects and wound up forgeting about it.plus i found a brand new wrapped sega version of the game on ebay they wanted 50 and well to me it was worth it.oh yeah for any one that needs a scaned version of the map heres a link.
