This is a technical issue with your video settings. If you are using onboard graphics and an intel chipset, it's the way it's going to be. Also, unfortunately, you won't be able to play the game very long either. It will kick you right back to your desktop after a few minutes. Intel doesn't support the T & L technology the game imploys.
So far, the only suggestion that has worked is to buy a video card. That's what I had to do anyway.

This is the texture problem that people with Intel video cards (like me) tend to have. Get a new PC, or a new video card, or learn to live with it.
BTW, am I the only one who thinks the title of this thread sounds like part of a headline from a supermarket tabloid? "I Encountered Raymondo's Syster... And Lived To Tell the Tale!"

Yesh, it's part of the 'kick me' joke mod Rupert made. So people get two jokes for the price of one.  It took a long time before I noticed that one, until I took the screen you can see here. |
