I have to say, after much consideration, that it was Pirates! Gold. I spent almost six months playing it. It is more time than I spent on Diablo, Diablo II, New horizons, civilization II or III, or the Sims. _________________

I don't really remember a clear winner for this one, but let's see:
Star wars galactic Battlegrounds and expansion I probably spent 4 or 5 months on, and still get them out occasionally.
Zoo tycoon and it's expansions I probably spent nearly a year on
I spent a lot of time with Sim City 2000, and a fair bit on Sim City 4.
Oh, Sim Tower too.
As you can see, I really don't remember...But these have been some of my favorites... _________________

Civ - hands down. At this point, probably Civ III, simply because I've had it longer. But I spent a good long time playing Civ II. |

Age of Empires, Microsoft, up to the Conquistador incarnation. Past that, it didn't seem worth the chase. Hour for hour onna PC that one.
Game console SNES
KOEI Romance of the Three Kingdoms III
Game console NES

Surprisingly, it's not Diablo II for me (ven though I think I've spent MOST of my time in China playing Diablo II )
But STAR CONTROL II!!
The greatest game ever.
It's incredible how many times I can play that damn thing.
OH and if I wasn't capable of finishing Monkey Island II in less than one hour's play, that would've been at the top of the list

What she said. And with Civ IV coming out later this year I will have yet more nights ahead of suddenly looking up at the clock and seeing that it is 3 am, when I thought it was around midnight. _________________ "Have you struck? Do you ask for quarter?"

Star Con 2, the game that finally taught us that computer sounds were more than the buzzer razzing you.
Got our first real SoundCard for that game.
Remember the Pkunk.

I've had quite a few games taking a lot of my time, but I must say that Elite, Civilization and Pirates! and all their sequels hold the top positions. Civilization perhaps highest of them all with all the modding etc. that I've done with it. _________________ It is much better to be armed with a sword that has two edges than with an estoc [...], which is nothing more than a stick with a point. I love Star Control II. Did you know that there's a freeware version of it out? _________________

original Pirates for me, with the original Master of Orion afairly close second. Played that one so long one night that my arm from shoulder to fingertips was getting numb. _________________ "but why's the rum gone?" |

I'm still messing with Pacific General after it's release in 1997 I'm STILL expanding the game after eight years!
After that, more mainstream titles like Civ-II/Civ-III, Master of Orion II, Master of Magic, Age of Wonders. Another game I spent countless hours on was the old "X-Wing" game by Lucas Arts. I also spent a considerable amount of time on the original C64 Pirates. |

Yeah, Ur-Quan Masters. It's a killer, man! Runs on XP and everything. They're working on a new sequel to replace SC3, too. Hopefully it'll come out before the year 2015, cause they've been working on it for about 10 years now... _________________ Blondebeard: "Madre de Dios! Es el Pollo Diablo!!"

Before I started with Sid Meier's Pirates ( which I've been steady playing for about 3 or 4 months now) the games I'd play varied somewhat. It's either been EverQuest, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Starcraft, Ultima: Ascension, or a quick round of Monopoly The only other non PC games have been Metroid Prime or Zelda Windwaker for the Gamecube.
However, with the exception of Pirates!, all of these taking many-a- back seat to playing guitar (#1 hobby) |

This version of SMP is making its way to the top of my list. Otherwise, I've spent many an hour on Starlancers, the original Wing Commander and Crimson Skies. |
