I gotta say to that the Royal Sloop is my favorite. It is a good all around ship and is sturdy enough to survive till I get to board the scum. Most of the ships I like a faster vessels, I prefer a fleet of sloops or mail runners rather than cumbersome giants like galleons.

I guess you have not the pleasure of a Frigate ... _________________ "No captain can do very wrong if he places his ship alongside the enemy " |

Heh I have led I have. I just am a fan of the smaller vessels. Since I usually board in every action, except with immigrant ships, I just like having a small target. |

I haven't used a Sloop of any sort in many an adventure.
So many dozens of cruises I've gone on with a trusted sloop. Fine vessel, it is.
But now I find I don't want a "all-around" ship. I tend to go with a two-ship fleet: a Mail Runner (hopefully) and a Ship of the Line. If I want to dance around the enemy I use the Mail Runner and if I want to hit them with a sledgehammer, I bring out the SOTL.
Guess I'm using both ends of the spectrum rather than settling for something in the middle. hehe |

I'm a big fan of the Royal Sloop as well, but I like my War Canoes.
EDIT: I've never seen a SotL _________________ “Perhaps on the rare occasion pursuing the right course demands an act of piracy, piracy itself can be the right course?†|
