|
|
I have not made an effort to record statistical results of rewards from governors' daughters, but I have generally observed:
A necklace will bring a 5000 gold criminal quest from a beautiful daughter. A ruby ring brings in 1000 or 2000 criminal quest from a beautiful daughter. A ring brings in about a 3000 gold quest from a plain daughter.
An embrace from a plain or attractive daughter seems to result in a lower criminal quest than a hand kiss. By fumbling around and getting as many hearts as possible with out getting an embrace, I got a 4000 quest from a plain daughter. The best I remember getting with an embrace is a 2000 or 3000 quest.
Has anyone else encountered similar rewards indicating better results from plain or attractive daughters with a lower performance? _________________ Captain Geetee |

I've had largely the same experience, Geetee, although it is extremely rare for me to give a diamond necklace away anymore...unless given to a beautiful daughter, the reward often fails to pays for the expense!
Once I purchased a gold ring for 2,400. I gave it to a plain governor's daughter, who told me where to find (if I recall correctly) that pervert Chatterly. Whoever the miscreant was, I remember clearly that the reward was 1,000 gold.
Aye, it was not my best investment...probably why I don't consider becoming a merchant Captain.

Try buying rings and necklaces at pirate havens. I got a ring for 900 gold (on adventurer). _________________ Captain Geetee |

Aye, usually I get my stuff at the cheapest price, by getting items in pirate havens, settlements, and poor cities...this was a sorry case of...
what the plague was I thinking...?

Aye, it is a shame that pirate havens don't recognize or bestow rank...you have to pay full cost for upgrades and repairs with them...bunch of greedy... pirates...!

Aye, that would be Chatterley. I'll dance with plain daughters, but I never give them jewelry - it's just not worth it. |

To which a rueful privateer, in full agreement, wrote: | what the plague was I thinking...? |
Ah, well...at least I put some money back into the economy...and I haven't done that sort of silliness since... _________________ Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves;
