I would have to say - back in the C64 Days it was a 50/50 Split between Pirates and Elite.
Since then - in my 486 days - it was the DOS version of Mech Warriors.
Now , back to the Latest Windows release of Pirates - however - I have recently gone back to the C64 - found a nice emulator and have brought back a lot of nice memories playing some of the oldies again. |

Most of the time? Hard to say and even harder to call back my memories... Let's see. In the classic DOS era I've spent a lot of time playing with simulators like F19 and LHX but the real big thing was the StarWars couple: XWing and TIE fighter. I loved the Eye of the Beholder series, Imperium Galactica, the two Dune games and the first Warcraft as well as the economical classics like MadTV, Civilization and Railroad Tycoon. For the past few years would I mention GTA SA, AoE2, F1GP series (me and my brother played through the whole F1 season via LAN for at least two-three times.), Sims and Commandos with its clones Desperados and Robin Hood. And many many more great games. So I would be in really big trouble by selecting 3 games (according to the other topic). Maybe 3 winchesters full with games that would be enough. _________________ May the Wind of Force be with you! |

The game i spent most time on must still be the 2D trial bike game Elastomania. I spent some two years only playing that game, and I'm still top 150 in the world (not impressive but the players are Addicted)...
ThunderBald, I've played my share of Age of Kings, but i still like the first game, Age of Empires better, it's somewhat nostalgic for me, I was 10 when i purchased it back in 1997
Most played three games could be:
1. Elastomania
2. Dark Chronicle (PS2-game that took some 90 hours to run through first time)
3. Guitar Hero 2 (I've played Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3 and eighties a lot, but i probably spent most time on Gutar Hero 2 ) _________________

I too, like the first one, for sentimental reasons...what I didn't like was the way my troops got stuck on obstacles or each other (saying stuff like, Mylon, I'm scared, I don't want to die! or so I presume), and the way my catapults tended to cause friendly fire incidents... _________________ Rule, Britannia! According to my Xfire, right now my most played game is BF2 at 130ish hours. Most of those hours were my brother or me leaving it on while AFK however. I think AOE3 is my highest fairly ranked Xfire game.
Apart from this however, I have spent ages on Stalker:Shoc recently. I know it's at least about 80-90 hours. Played this Pirates too a bit. Oldest game I remember playing a lot of though is Unreal Tournament 99, and a heck load of Quake 2.
Heheh, I remember the original AOE as well. Didn't like it was much as the second one. The original had a stingy unit limit and everything seemed kinda gumby. I still think AOE2 is the créme de la creme. I spent a long time on it as well. |

Hmm... not sure what game I spent the most time on to complete ONCE,
but I know the games I've played over and over and over and over and over... again:
- The Secret of Monkey Island series
- The Leisure Suit Larry series
- The Wing Commander series
- StarCraft

Various versions of Civ IV and it's mods. Clearly my favorite game of all time.
Pirates! is my second favorite. It is the other game that I continue to come back to, buy new copies of when a disc gets glitchy, etc.
Other games I've played a lot- Civ I, III, & V
I also enjoyed the original Rome Total War. Also of note were some DOS submarine games. |

I LOVE Rome: Total War! I got into last year and have already clocked nearly 48 hours on Steam. It's addicting! _________________ The Code is the Law. |

I love the Scipii, and I built a "Legion", I make them all with the same construct, as close to a real legion as I can get. I forget the exact breakdown (as I've not been able to play since school started), but it's fun. I had JUST taken Rome when I had to stop. _________________ The Code is the Law. |

I used to play as Julius, or as Hannibal.
It's fun to organize the Roman armies historically. Likewise it's fun to organize a Cartheginian army with Numidian cavalry, elephants, baeleric slingers, and other mercenaries.
One of my favorite things, though, is to turn the "rotweilers" on the broken units. |

My top games since 1983 have been
Pirates! both the original and Sid Meier's versions
Age of Empires II and III with all variations
Strategic Simulations war games - Pacific General, Panzer General II, The Age of Rifles, Allied General, People's General, North Atlantic '86
Patton vs. Rommel (Macintosh)
GATO (Macintosh)
The original Role Playing Fantasy game, the one that really was the original top dog in computer gaming was called Wizardry. That game was HUGE.
Ultima III and Ultima IV were big games I played a lot of.
I had a lot of fun playing The Oregon Trail, yes it is/was a kids game but it was still a lot of fun!!!!
How about this one? Adventure, also called Colossal Cave Adventure. It was the first text-only adventure game. Then there were the Scott Adams Adventure games (about 10 of them) all text-only.
Beer Run, Guadalcanal, Personal Baseball
That just starts the list. There are many others I have played a lot of. |
