Very Nice EC - wasn't the Ghost Rider Nice as well - just a bit more flamier ?? ( is that a word ? ) |

The Concise Oxford English Dictionary recognizes flamy (or flamey) as a word. It does not explicitly mention the comparative and superlative forms, but I would assume they are implied.
All that remains is to argue over whether it should be spelled flamier or flameyer! After seeing them both in print, I think your spelling is preferable. |

Is it not true that if a word is used often enough - then it gets incorporated into the dictionary ?
Perhaps we can start the my candle is flamier than yours thread - and get flamier into the dictionary |

I recommend the New Oxford Annotated Bible - its scholarly notes on the text are brief but informative.
I can recommend the "good parts" if you're interested. In your current state of mind, I think you might find Ecclesiastes interesting. Its outlook might be described as proto-existential. |
