I'll assume you're on WinXP.

Go to Control Panel, click on the System icon.

Then click on the hardware tab, click the device manager button.

You will see a list, on the list is "Display adapters", click the + next to it, and whatever is written under Display adapters will be what graphic card you have.

Alternatively, for an easier but rather roundabout way, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/gameadvisor/default.mspx

Click on "start the Windows XP game advisor", then do a search for "sid meier's pirates" on the window that pops up, and click "will it run on my computer".

Once it analyses your pc it will not only tell you what graphic card you have, among other things, but will also tell you if your pc can run Pirates.

If you're not on WinXP, i'm not quite sure how to find out then, cos it's been some time since i've used any other OS, but it's somewhere in the control panel.

Bah,your not stupid. You'd be amazed to see how mnay "gamers" say they don't even know what they have.

Its very easy to do, if your running Windows.

Go to Start, then Click RUN.

Then type in 'DxDiag' without the ' things.

Now, you will see your PC's specs, just for reasons that it might NOT be your grpahics card, please tell use what it says next to-PROCESSOR and MEMORY.

Once that is done go to the top bar, it has a bunch of tabs. Clikc display, no look for where it says NAME. Tell us the name. Then look on that page for where it says APPROX. TOTAL MEMORY and tell us that. You could also tell us CHIP TYPE, but that is somtimes not avaible.

There.

EDIT-DAMNIT!@ I got beaten Sad Anyways, the games advisor dosn't always work.

Your cards made by Intel, thusly, it came with your PC, correct? Its intergrated, and it pretty much sucks. You have a good processor though.

lol, yep, all i did was plug it in. I'm not one for computors.
I have got it to stop crashing (my putting the resolution right up (Wheres the logic in that?!?)), hence my absence from the forums, but i still get some disfigured characters and its reeaaalllyyyy slow.
I do however have a couple of questions :

Will i be able change/get a better graphics card?

If the answer to the above question is yes, then what would be the best graphic card?

Third and final question goes to all you english players, who have the best graphic card, how much does it cost?

Thank you all in advance!!!
