Can someone post the number of posts required to achieve the different ranks (Powder monkey, Swabbie, etc...)?

Oh My!!!  Only 7500 more posts until I make Sailing Master.  And a little less then 500 more until my next promotion to Rigger.

Thats a good idea... It would be more to shoot for.

You could set up reward bonuses two different ways for achieveing new ranks.
1. Have a set amount for each rank level. Maybe a percentage of how many posts it takes to achieve a rank.
An example: 250 posts to make cuthroat at say 10% would be a 25 gold reward bounty.
2. Increase the amount of gold you can make per post.
An example: At powder monkey you make a post worth 20 gold.
At swabbie it would be worth 22 gold.
At cutthroat it would be worth 24 gold.
Basically increasing it by 10% each level. Only problem with this is that everyone that has advanced past powder monkey would get the short end of the stick.
This is probably not worth talking about anymore, but just a thought.

The main problem with giving bonuses for reaching a certain level is that it could encourage the use of single word (or very short) posts which is basically spamming.
I'm sure most (if not all) of us don't really have an eye on the number of posts they make, but are more interested in being a 'productive' member of this small community, so this shouldn't be too much of a problem.
