My protagonist is 48 years old and in failing health (for the last ten years)
still dueling, wooing daughters, pillaging and kicking. my crew is happy and i dont plan to divide the plunder with them yet. just curious for how long i can continue live the pirates life before i die of old age or something like that. fencing is a challenge even if i have special skill and all the special items for that. old age is nothing to laugh about:)

Your pirate will live until he divides the plunder.
Surviving until the 1970's has been demonstrated.

Are you sure he is in failing health? I had a pirate be retired when he was 48 years old and in Ill health. I'm not sure what the progression of healths are. But I thought Ill health was the last stop and then you get thrown into a pine box after that... 
Rupert maybe you can do some research on this and come up with some kind of chart or something?

WOW!  SOMEONE SURVIVED TILL 1970! HOLLY COW! I DIDNT THINK THE CLOCK WOULD GO LONG! Now i hope i can go that long!

There was a guy on here a while back that had a pirate make it to 85 years old. He had the screen shot to prove it too....
