Hi there, sup.

Every girl has a different file so you can choose yourself which one you would like. I didn't put them all together in one pack because you now have the freedom to dress the one you're gonna marry for example. Also because with one pack, there would be a lot of girls running around with the same black dress.

Great job GP! Can't wait to use them.

Now I just need some tool to manage all the mods I've collected. Maybe I'll fire up Python next week and see if I can whip something out.... Unless someone else has written a tool already.

Which reminds me, if anyone from Firaxis is listening, it would be nice in the next expansion pack / version / whatever, to have more possible daughters, barmaids, pirates, governors, any character etc. Why does everyone look the same? Firaxis wouldn't have to create them - the mod community would. When the game starts it could look in custom to figure out how many files matching a pattern (e.g., daug_beau_f*.dds) there are, and then randomly assign one of them to each city. Only a small amount of work for Firaxis, the mod community shoulders the creative burden, and the game has much more variety.

Seems to have that for the crew-walk-ons.

Have you tried dropping those file names into your Custom folder to see if the game ever uses them??

Well, apart from looking for my family, killing off the other pirates and generally dominating the shipping and trading, I now have a new quest - find my black dressed girl. I found her in a nice little dutch port in my current game except she is a blonde.

Special thanx to Alpine, who came up with the original design of the black dress. I liked it so much I wanted to 'perfect' it and also because people wanted to see the dress on some of the other ladies.

When you put these files in the custom folder, will the normal dresses ever show up on the girls or will it always be the black dress. I guess I'm wondering will this give you more variety or will all...lets say french lookers now have on black?
