|
|
Cyberops wants to know if we still have some good ideas they possibly can add in the expansion. Isn't that awesome? Your thoughts are welcome
- Increase in the amount of gold in pirate burried treasures . I started a poll earlier today in the mod section on that.
- An option that emblems show on the main sail of Frigates and the other ship classes who don't do this. Grsmith320 pointed this one out.
- Some people would like to enable the use of apostrophes when creating a new ship name for example.
- It's just an idea, but maybe a slightly increase in gold the treasure fleet carries. I know the fleet follows a certain pattern, but it should be worth to chase it. It would also make up the loss of the silvertrain a bit.
- An option that other ships in your fleet don't slow you down. I'm not talking about the speed boost option here that works for all your ships.

Definitely an increase in the buried treasures. Here's my vote in this thread for that one.
I thought I might copy the info from the thread in the Custom/Mod section as to what had already planned on being included to avoid repeats of suggestions, for Cyberops sake. The less time he spends sorting through our requests, the the more time he'll actually have to work.
Here's what I have, feel free (please) to ammend this list:Pirates Master
Expansion - Features List
Character Selection
Ship Selection
Map Selection
Gameplay Selection
Automatic Dance
Skid Dancing
Skip Land Battle
Give City to the Pirates and make it a Pirate Haven
Give city to the Indians
Double Sneaking Speed
Double Land Battle Speed
Enter Town Menu (Choose what you like to do at a city)
Fleet Battles (all your ships join the battle now, enemy does the same)
Buy ships in port
Map point & click transporter (Click anywhere on the map and you are instantly there)
Attack and takeover settlements
360 degree camera
Tobacco (puts the tobacco back in the game)
Slaves (adds slaves to the game)
Rum (adds rum to the game)
Hold prisoners for ransom
Loot Enemy Ships
The Silver Empire Era
Divorce
Destroy City
Create Settlement (choose to be mayor or pirate captain, can evolve to Nation's city with you as governor)
Marry the Barmaid
Play as the Indians
No Nation (Just be a pirate without a nation set, you can do this at the beginning or change along the way)
Speed selector (set your own sailing speed boost, works for all your ships)
New Nations
China
USA
Canada
Mexico
Portugal
Denmark
Ireland
HOTKEY FUNCTIONS / IN GAME MENU

Sink your ship of choice (own ships)
Choose which quests you have completed
Game Speedup 2x, 3x, 4x the normal speed
Choose your upgrades and for what ship
Choose your career level
Choose your speciality
Choose your special items
Set your promotion
Choose your specialists
With all the new Nations you can choose already at the beginning of a new game which nation
you are going to play for or choose no nation and you can play for yourself, even start your own nation.
You can also just play for no nation at all or choose the pirates as a nation and your simply a pirate.
The beginning screen where you choose your nation has changed because of this into a simple choice
text menu where you can choose.
We made it so everyone can choose what to include in the game and what not.
Under Map Selection we have included a new modified map and it ads 25 new cities to the original map. _________________

I agree with the Pirates treasure issue.
As I said to Cyberops, could be a good thing to improve the performance of Galleons.
They are too easy to defeat, and sometimes I like to use one as my combat ship. |

How about an option that makes War Canoes fly?
Oops! I forgot that they already do that.
Heh heh heh
The really big option: letting enemy ships initiate battle.
That would really change the game. |

this was someone else's idea, i forget who.
when you visit a pirate haven, all that the famous pirates tell you is go away or i'll give you the black spot, even if you are a significantly higher rank than them. i think something should change but that's where my creativeness ends, sadly.
also, i feel that officers should get more moves, sort of like indian scouts because right now, they're just supped up pirates. |

I dare not make anymore requests or this mod will never get done! LOL!
I got everything I want listed already: always happy crew, apostrophe mods, and no dancing (or automatic dancing).
I'll experiment with some of the other options which will really help keep the game fresh with so much variety and choices, but all I want is to use apostrophes!!! Hehehe! |

What about a fencing fight, like With Raymondo some times?
You find the famous Pirate into the tavern and... |

If you're looking for that friend, just download the patch from the Atari/Firaxis site. Every "Annoying Captain" will morph into Raymondo. It is good to get out a little frustration for not being able to knock him overboard. BTW, not coming down on your suggestion, just the patch that already exisits. _________________

I miss from the old Pirates, that then you marry the beautiful daugther, then you get more gamepoints for that, instead now, that it does not matter if you getting marry plain or attractive daugther you get always 10 point/fame......
maybe getting marry with plain = 5 point
getting marry attractive = 10 point
getting marry beautiful = 15 point _________________ The horrible Eskimo Pirat |

When I have the patch installed and he's posing as an "Annoying Captain," he doesn't have gray hair. Maybe it's just my crappy computer.
So, how about being able to keep more than just your flagship after you divide the plunder? I never bother massing a fleet because I can't keep even one ship. I know a lot of other non-Forum game fans that would love this one. _________________

Are you Duke yet? (Of the nation you are visiting.)
Once I get Duke, I only get that Grey Haired fop.
Before that (lesser ranks), have even gotten the original Captain. |

I wonder if that is possible, but maybe a sheet to edit ship statistics (not only your own but all ships) could be added. Especially the cannon and maximum crew numbers would be of interest to me. The way these numbers are now, some ships are dominated by others (namely the frigate by the Brig of War, equal guns, equal crew, but the BoW turns faster). |

Let the character sail with a kajak, when he's marooned, instead waiting for a ship for long time _________________ The horrible Eskimo Pirat |

- I don't know if it's possible, but we had some topics on the parrots. It seems the files are in the game (animations too). So it would be nice to have them work somehow.
- Like someone posted earlier, it would be cool to keep track of casualties somewhere. So you see how much men died under your command in the game sofar. Also opponents casualties if possible.
- Another idea would be the ability to split your fleet like in the original game. That way you can strike with fast ships and accumulate goods for example at a strategic point where your bigger ships are anchored.
