I play PC version but I couln't help noticing this.
I don't know if this exists in Xbox version but in PC there's Troop Transports which increases the garrison, but I havn't seen any effects from Military Payrolls. Since Military Payrolls contain much gold it probably inproves wealth. Pirate and Indian Raiders does decrease garrison, just like when you raid for yourself. That's why you tell them to attack certain cities, you want them to soften up the defence. Make sure the garrison isn't to small if you send pirates though, because you don't want them to win and take all the gold. _________________

Nice to finally see all the effects of various special deliveries and attacks on towns in game, was often wondering what a certain ship does to a town when it ports there. |
